A 38-year-old woman connected to a pan masala company owner was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Vasant Vihar, southwest Delhi. Preliminary investigations reveal the woman had penned a diary entry addressing various relationship issues prior to her untimely death. Although the entry does not name individuals or assign blame, it has drawn the attention of police who are meticulously examining the document.
The deceased is the daughter-in-law of the owner of Kamla Pasand Pan Masala. After her death, her brother made serious allegations claiming she was subjected to harassment and humiliation by her in-laws and spouse. He also disclosed that her husband had reportedly married another woman during their union.
Despite the accusations from the family, the husband’s lawyer has refuted any claims of wrongdoing, labeling them as unfounded. He stated that the deceased’s mother had been present with the family since the incident and emphasized that both families are mourning together and wish for her to be honored with dignity.
On the day of the incident, the woman was alone at home after her husband left for the gym and her children went to school. Upon returning, the husband found her dead in their bedroom. Emergency medical responders arrived shortly thereafter, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. An autopsy has been performed, and her body has been returned to the family.
Additionally, authorities have initiated legal proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which governs the investigation into unnatural or suspicious deaths. Currently, no formal complaint (FIR) has been registered regarding the case. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, taking into account the various aspects and communications revealed in the diary.
