Juspay Technologies has reported a profit of ₹62 crore for 2024-25, marking a substantial turnaround from the previous year's loss. Driven by increased digital transaction volumes and an expanding global presence, the company achieved a record revenue of ₹514 crore, a 61% rise from the previous fiscal year. Despite facing challenges with major payment gateways terminating partnerships, Juspay's revenue remained unaffected due to its focus as a tech provider. With significant funding raised and a robust cash position, Juspay continues to thrive in a competitive fintech environment.

Juspay Technologies, a leading payments solutions provider, has announced a significant profit after tax (PAT) of ₹62 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25. This achievement is attributed to a robust increase in digital transaction volumes, an expanding clientele, and a strategic global expansion. The Bengaluru-based company reported record revenue of ₹514 crore for the year ending March 31, 2025, reflecting a 61% increase from the previous year's revenue of ₹319.3 crore. Notably, the firm had faced a net loss of ₹97.5 crore in the last fiscal year.

In 2024-25, Juspay's daily transaction volume surged from 175 million to over 300 million, showcasing a remarkable 150% increase in its total payment volume (TPV) from $400 billion to $1 trillion. The firm's growth is fueled by the addition of several prominent merchants and banks such as Agoda, Amadeus, HSBC, Tiket, and Zurich Insurance to its global network.

In line with its global expansion, Juspay has opened new offices in the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Renowned merchants including Amazon, Flipkart, Google, IndiGo, Swiggy, Urban Company, and Zepto utilize Juspay’s platform for payment processing. Although Juspay acknowledges that international revenue remains a small fraction of its overall business, the presence of major global players indicates positive traction.

Juspay’s Chief Operating Officer, Sheetal Lalwani, noted that the firm maintains a strong cash position and generated positive cash flow during 2024-25. The company focused on minimizing marketing expenditures and prioritized investments in talent and cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal depletion of its cash reserves.

At the beginning of 2025, Juspay experienced a significant shift in its ecosystem as major payment gateways like Razorpay, PhonePe, and Cashfree opted to terminate partnerships with the company. The shift stemmed from these players' desire to establish direct relationships with merchants and gain control over payment routing after Juspay acquired its Payment Aggregator license in 2023—potentially positioning it as a competitor.

However, Lalwani clarified that this transformation did not affect the company’s revenue, emphasizing Juspay's role solely as a technology provider. He illustrated that merchants maintain full control over their payment routing decisions on the platform, positioning Juspay as a flexible technological solution.

Since its inception in 2012, Juspay has managed to raise approximately $147 million in funding. In April 2025, it secured $60 million in its Series D funding round led by Kedaara Capital, with participation from existing investors such as the SoftBank Vision Fund and Accel Capital.

In terms of revenue distribution, approximately half of Juspay’s earnings come from merchant payment orchestration services, which involve technology that manages and routes payments through multiple gateways. The remainder is derived from infrastructure services provided to banks, including the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and card-acquiring services. In an increasingly competitive fintech landscape, Juspay faces competition in payment orchestration from Razorpay, which raised $375 million in December 2021, and is also competing with major players in the payment aggregator space like Cashfree Payments and PhonePe.
