In parallel, a significant search operation has been launched by police across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh for a red Ford EcoSport linked to the blast. This vehicle, identified by the registration number DL10CK0458, is registered under Umar Un Nabi, also known as Dr. Umar Mohammad. Background checks have revealed that the car was registered at a Rajouri Garden RTO in November 2017 using a false address. Despite police raids, the location of the EcoSport remains undiscovered, raising concerns that it may harbor vital evidence or explosives.
Authorities suspect that the EcoSport was utilized as a secondary vehicle following the explosion of a white Hyundai i20, allegedly driven by Dr. Umar. Investigators are probing a terror logistics network associated with Dr. Umar, which reportedly consists of several doctors and other individuals.
Officials have disclosed that Dr. Umar was likely the driver of the vehicle involved in the attack, and he is connected to two other doctors, Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Shaheen, who were arrested earlier with a substantial stash of explosives. After their apprehension, investigators believe that Dr. Umar independently executed the attack. His previous work history includes expulsion from a medical facility in Anantnag after an incident involving patient care.
Authorities are analyzing mobile communications from the Red Fort area during the time surrounding the explosion to trace contacts linked to Dr. Umar. Additionally, DNA samples from his family are being compared to biological remnants collected from the blast site to confirm his involvement as the driver.
