This extensive study analyzed over 3,100 adults from the TwinsUK cohort spanning more than a decade. It established a connection between high dietary intake of polyphenols and healthier blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Notably, participants who consumed more flavonoids and phenolic acids exhibited lower CVD risk scores, with an increased level of HDL cholesterol, commonly referred to as 'good' cholesterol.
