Xiaomi is gearing up to release its Redmi 15C 5G smartphone in India on December 3, aiming for a budget-friendly price around Rs 10,000. The phone features a 6.9-inch LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 50-megapixel rear camera, and a 6,000mAh battery. A significant competitor, Realme, will launch its Realme P4x shortly thereafter, creating excitement in the entry-level smartphone market.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its latest smartphone in India, the Redmi 15C 5G, following a brief period without new releases. Targeted as an entry-level device, this phone is anticipated to be priced at approximately Rs 10,000, making it a budget-friendly option for consumers. The Redmi 15C 5G is set to arrive in the Indian market on December 3, adding excitement to Xiaomi's product lineup as it looks to engage users ahead of the new year.

The launch teaser shared on social media emphasizes the phone's potential, branding it as the "supreme power" and the ultimate evolution within the segment. This entry follows the recent release of the Redmi 15 in August 2025, highlighting Xiaomi's renewed focus on its budget offerings.

Interestingly, the Redmi 15C 5G is not an entirely new model. It has already been available in select European markets since September, and while a 4G variant exists internationally, Indian consumers will only have access to the 5G version at this time. To further ignite anticipation, Xiaomi has teased the device’s silhouette in a graphic, which aligns with the design of its counterparts in Europe.

In terms of specifications, educated predictions can be made based on the existing models. The Redmi 15C 5G is expected to feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720p and a refresh rate of 120Hz, along with a waterdrop-style notch. Powering this device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, supported by 4GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB. For photography enthusiasts, the phone includes a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, allowing for high-quality images. A substantial 6,000mAh battery coupled with 33W fast charging ensures prolonged usage, although a charger will not be included in the packaging.

The new phone also boasts a refreshed design compared to its predecessor, the Redmi 14C. Notably, the cameras on the 15C are arranged vertically instead of being embedded in a circular module. Additionally, the device is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance and is available in three colors: Midnight Black, Dusk Purple, and Mint Green. User security is enhanced through a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In a competitive landscape, Xiaomi is not alone in its launch plan. Realme is set to present its Realme P4x in India a day later on December 4. With its slightly more powerful specs, including the Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor and a larger 7,000mAh battery, the competition promises to be fierce between these two entry-level smartphones. As the launch dates approach, consumers can expect further updates on this tech rivalry.
